Distinguished Engineers Audio Federation

Someone whistle?

The Distinguished Engineers Audio Federation was founded in the seventies by a small group of pro-audio people in London, England. D.E.A.F. was primarily a social organisation for the recording industry and meetings were held regularly throughout the seventies and eighties.

At events such as the Annual D.E.A.F. Awards Dinner and other functions, over 100,000 Pounds Sterling (US$ 165,000) was raised for the benefit of deaf children.

Attendance at D.E.A.F. functions declined in the late eighties (the last Awards Dinner was in 1989), but the spirit lives on in the small group of D.E.A.F. golfers who, 25 years on, still meet each September to compete for D.E.A.F.'s coveted Bauch Cup.
